Flos Taccia Table Lamp
Originally designed in 1962 as a collaboration between Achille and Pier Castaglioni, the Taccia Table Lamp provides both indirect and reflected light. The reflector shade is painted gloss white on the outside and matt white on the inside. The lamp is available in 2 different sizes; Small and Medium. The directionable diffuser and lamp body colour are available in different finishes to suit.
To create a more innovative look, this light has been designed to incorporate the LED within it. The integrated LED is not replaceable but has a lifespan of up to 20,000 hours. LEDs use around 85% less energy than incandescent bulbs and will last up to 20,000 hours.
Achille Castiglioni was born in Milan in 1918. After graduating in architecture in 1944, he began research into shapes, techniques and new materials, aimed at developing an integral design process. One of the founder members of ADI he taught Artistic Design for Industry in both Turin and Milan. His work can be seen in museums worldwide and many are still manufactured today, a testament to his clever designs and use of materials.
