Flos Toio Floor Lamp
The Toio Floor Lamp was part of the Castaglioni brothers ready-made objects series, and included the use of parts of a fishing pole in addition to the headlamp imported from the USA. Considered a design classic, the Toio floor lamp is part of the permanent collection at MoMA in New York City.
Born in Milan in 1918, Achille Castaglioni is considered one of the forefathers of contemporary design. Through collaborations with his brothers, Livio and Pier he tested industrial production techniques and experimented with shapes and materials to push the boundaries of modern design.
