Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Welcome to paperrooms.co.uk website terms and conditions. These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not use or access this website.

Returns policy

We hope that you will be happy with your purchases. Should you wish to return anything to us, our returns policy is set out below. If we make a mistake with your order, or if the goods received are in some way faulty, we have a no quibble returns policy. We will replace it with the correct/non-faulty item and collect the original item. Where a replacement is not possible and when agreed, we will pay your return delivery costs up to a value of £12. Returns should be made within a reasonable time (14 days) and in original, undamaged packaging. If you change your mind for any other reason, we are happy to exchange items, refund or credit your account, provided the goods are returned to us within 14 days, in the original packaging and in as new, undamaged, re-saleable condition. Please return items to 6 Keymer Gardens, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 0AF. We regret, in this case, we cannot refund return postage costs and the original delivery cost incurred by us will not be refunded. We are not responsible for return postage or packages that do not reach us. Please ask at the Post office for a free certificate of postage. Responsibility for the items returned in this way is still yours until signed for at our premises. Regrettably, self-assembly pieces cannot be returned once assembly is part or fully completed unless the item is deemed faulty. In the event that the item is faulty, a replacement will be sent. Paperrooms.co.uk will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the items once they have been received by our warehouse. If your order arrives damaged, please, report it immediately to info@paperrooms.co.uk including pictures of the damage. Please check the condition of the goods upon delivery. If they arrive damaged we must be notified within 48 hours of delivery.

Please be aware that there are some lamps once assembled are not able to be returned. This is because they are unable to be returned in as new condition. If a product that requires assembly is faulty a replacement will be provided.

Please note: if your order is not from stock or includes multiple pieces that need to be ordered specially from the manufacturer to the options that you select, we will not be able to offer a non-fault return. This is because we will still need to cover the cost for a non-stock, custom item. We will endeavour to replace any components that arrive damaged and have them delivered ASAP.

Trade Order: Please be aware that we are unable to accept non-fault returns for orders that have received a trade discount. These orders do not relate to trade customers who have paid through the website.

Your Right of Cancellation (Distance Selling Regulations)

If you exercise your right of cancellation after the items have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning them to paperrooms.co.uk at your own cost. The items must be returned to Unit 6 Keymer Gardens, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 0AF.

Prior to their return, you must inform us, in writing of any damage to the items. Items that are returned damaged, either with you or in transit will not be refunded and will be returned to you at your cost.

Once you have notified paperrooms.co.uk that you are cancelling the contract, paperrooms.co.uk will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the items. If you do not return the goods as required, paperrooms.co.uk may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the items.

Product imagery

We have gone to great lengths to illustrate our products, but each image should be viewed in conjunction with the descriptive text and will, of course, be limited by the screen settings of your own monitor screen.

We ask for payment in advance of delivery. This can be by credit/debit card, via our secure shopping system, or by cheque or postal order for UK customers. If you are shopping from outside the United Kingdom, your card company will convert the transaction into your own currency. We accept all major credit cards; American Express, MasterCard, Solo, Switch/UK Maestro, Visa, Visa Debit/Delta and Visa Electron.

After you send your order you will receive a copy by email, please print or keep this copy for your own records. This does not mean we have accepted your order. Once your credit has been approved, the receiving address has been verified, and the item has been located, your order will be accepted.

All prices shown are in £ (GBP) sterling. If you would prefer to pay by cheque, cash or bank transfer, please contact us as we can only accept your order by telephone or mail or by prior arrangement.

Shipping, delivery and postage and packing

All relevant postage and packing, shipping or delivery charges are included in the cost of your order. The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 day of the item being in stock. For items not in stock, please, use the timescale specified on the product page. Please be aware that the timescale stated is a guide based on typical delivery times and not the maximum that it could possibly take. During busy times, summer shutdowns, or for bespoke orders, this timeframe may increase. A working day is any day other than weekends, bank or public holidays. If delivery cannot be made to your address for reasons under paperrooms.co.uk control, we will inform you as soon as possible.

If you deliberately fail to take delivery of the order (otherwise than by reason of circumstances under the control of paperrooms.co.uk), without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to paperrooms.co.uk, paperrooms.co.uk may a) store the items in the order until actual delivery and charge you for reasonable costs (including insurance) of storage; or b) sell the items in the order at the best readily obtainable price and (after deducting all reasonable storage and selling expenses) account to you for any excess over the price you agreed to pay for the items or charge you for any shortfall below the price you agreed to pay for the items.

If you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Distance Selling Regulations, paperrooms.co.uk shall refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the order, less any expenses incurred for failed delivery.

Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, paperrooms.co.uk will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, paperrooms.co.uk will inform you as soon as possible.

If a carrier is used, upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the items received in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of the package at that moment in time please sign for the delivery as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any claim for replacement or refund that you make thereafter.
