Artemide Mendori Table Lamp

The three-dimensional Mendori Table Lamp forms part of the IN-EI collection designed by Issey Miyake and his design studio Reality Lab for Artemide. The sculptural lamp plays with light and shadow to provide a soft warmth to the room. The Mendori Lamp is made from 100% recycled PET bottles and with an integrated LED light source. Using a special folding technique the lamp keeps its shape, but can also be folded flat and easily transported.

Today, Issey Miyake works with his studio Reality Labs. Through research and development of materials and techniques, their goal is to explore the future of making things from clothing to industrial products. Mindful of depleted natural resources and the environment, Miyake and his team seek to create products that challenge the needs and expectations of todays consumer.
