Artemide Nesso Table Lamp


The futuristic shape and colours of the Nesso Table Lamp were originally conceived in the 1960’s by Giancarlo Mattioli and Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova. A design icon, it forms part of the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Museum of Modern Art.


Giancarlo Mattioli was born in Bologna and rose to fame during the 1950’s and 1960’s with his iconic designs. He founded the Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova together with Pierluigi Cervellati, Umberto Maccaferri, Franco Morelli, Gianpaolo Mazzucato and Mario Zaffagnini.
