DCW éditions Aaro Wall Lamp

Aaro is a wall lamp in steel and aluminium designed by Simon Schmitz around the idea of movement and balance. Inspired by the fluidity of a simple gesture, its spherical structure rotates effortlessly around a central axis, evoking planets orbiting in space. Light, precise, and seemingly weightless, AARO appears as though it is gently moved by the wind.

Simon Schmitz, born in Arnsberg, Germany, established his studio in Hamburg after graduating from art school, where he discovered the freedom and responsibility of design. His education emphasized experimentation with form, materials, processes, and above all, understanding context and intention. Guided by the belief that every design must have a clear purpose, his work combines precision, movement, and conceptual clarity.
