Foscarini Chiaroscura Floor Lamp

The triangular structure of the Chiaroscura Floor Lamp diffuses ambient light to the sides and direct light to the ceiling. Its slim, minamalist profile has two purpose designed LED boards which sit along the length of its body and on its tip to maximise its illumination.

Francesco Meda was born in Milan in 1984, where he obtained his degree in Industrial Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design in 2006. His father is the renowned engineer and designer Alberto Meda. He set up his business in 2008 in his fathers studio in Milan and has gone on to win multiple awards including Compasso d'Oro, Red Dot Award and German Design Award, to name a few.

In addition to teaching Industrial Design at various Italian design institutes, Alberto Meda has collaborated with Alfa Romeo Auto, Alessi, Brevetti Gaggia, Philips, Olivetti and others.
