Foscarini Madre Table Lamp

The multi-functional Madre Table Lamp is constructed from frosted borosilicate glass. Integrated at the top of the vase, a concave vessel sits to provide an opportunity to display flowers or branches. The hole at the centre of the lamp further adds depth and provides perspective to the illumination even when it is switched off, creating a point at which internal and external light meet.

Having finished his studies in philosophy Andrea Anastasios has completed a range of projects to hone his skills in craftsmanship, architecture and preservation. Fascinated by the study of conceptual art and its potential convergence with industrial design, he redesigns furniture and objects by manipulating their form.
