Santa & Cole GATCPAC Floor Lamp

Created by Josep Torres Clavé, a sympathiser of the German Bauhaus movement and advocate of modern design, the GACPAC was originally conceived as a gift for the buildings he erected. The shade sits at the top of a polished aluminium column and can be adjusted by hand to direct light upwards or to either sides.

Josep Torres Clavé graduated from Barcelona School of Architecture in 1929. His furniture and lighting designs continue to be produced today, over 60 years after his premature passing during the Spanish Civil War.
