&Tradition Numbra Pendant Lamp

The &Tradition Numbra lamp series combines clean lines with a distinctive sculptural character. Its carefully considered proportions and understated form create a refined contemporary aesthetic, while its simple construction gives the design a sense of effortless versatility. The Numbra balances form and function with the understated sophistication and attention to detail associated with &Tradition.

Numbra was designed by Japanese designer Teruhiro Yanagihara, whose work brings together Japanese aesthetics, contemporary design and a deep appreciation for materials and craftsmanship. Yanagihara established his own studio in 2002 and has developed an international body of work spanning furniture, textiles, tableware and interiors. His approach is characterised by a thoughtful simplicity and an emphasis on the emotional qualities of everyday objects. For Numbra, he draws on the elemental form of the straight line and the subtle relationship between light and shadow, creating a design that feels both restrained and expressive. Numbra marks Yanagihara’s first collaboration with &Tradition.
