DCW éditions In The Sun Pendant Lamp

Crafted from metal mesh with glass, the In The Sun collection is designed with a warm and atmospheric presence. Created by Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost as a tribute to the Sun King, the collection radiates festive light and intricate shadow play. Available in diameters of 190 and 270 mm, the design combines decorative elegance with a refined architectural character.

In the work of Dominique Perrault, mesh becomes both a structural and poetic material — rigorous yet immaterial, capable of shaping light, space, and atmosphere. Together with Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost, he transformed this distinctive material into luminous architectural elements, most notably through the lighting installations created for the National Library of France. Their designs explore the relationship between form, context, and light, creating powerful objects that merge architecture, technology, and emotion.
