Innermost Doric Pendant Lamp

Taking inspiration from ancient Greek architecture, James Bartlett has reversed the traditional structure of the pendant lamp so that the classical scalloped details of the structure instead encircle the interior of the shade. Only visible from certain angles, the detailing is particularly beautiful when viewed from below. Created from resin, the lamp gives the illusion of a heavy, solid form.

Having studied at Manchester Metropolitan, James Bartlett joined Innermost in 2008 at the London studio and later took the position of Design Manager in Hong Kong. His design is characterised by his interest in material and process.
