Nemo Escargot Floor Lamp

Designed by Le Corbusier in the 1950's for the public spaces of the Unité d’Habitation in Marseille, Escargot is inspired by nature. Made of burnished brass with an internal reflector for a diffused indirect lighting effect.

Internationally influential Swiss archictect and planner, Le Corbusier belonged to the first generation of the International School of Architecture. His designs combine the functionalism of the modern movement with a bold, sculptural expressionism. In 2016, 17 of his architectural works were named World Heritage sites by UNESCO.
