Artemide Pirce Wall Lamp

The Pirce Lamp collection should not be considered as just a light. It is as beautiful off as it is on, bringing sculptured design to any space. The lamp opens out of a slim disk which spirals down, creating magical effects of form and light. Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà design is the winner of the prestigious 2009 Red Dot design award. Pirce is hand made with a white finish aluminium structure with one continuous slender piece of aluminium.

Sicilian Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà spent his early career specialising in die-cast and plastic moulds within the field of mechanical engineering. Since moving into household design, he has been able to utilise his knowledge and skills to apply techniques and materials in unique ways as demonstrated in his collaboration with Artemide.
