Artemide Tizio 35 Table Lamp

The Tizio lamp collection was originally designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide in 1972. The slender, parallel arms of the lamp can be adjusted in any direction and position to direct light. Two parallel arms are used to conduct electricity to the bulb for a streamlined and minimalist appearance.

Richard Sapper has had a prolific and varied career, designing everything from kitchen utensils to experimental cars. Probably best known for his Tizio Lamp, he has worked with Alessi, Artemide, B&B Italia, Castelli, Heuer, IBM, Kartell, Knoll International, Lenovo, Lorenz, Magis, Molteni Unifor, Pirelli to name a few. His strength in turning his hand to many design fields and finding solutions is recognied by his contemporaries and he has been awarded some of the highest honours for his work including Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in England and a Member of the Akademie der Kuenste in Germany.
