DCW éditions Map Wall Lamp

This collaboration was created to answer the desire for exceptional and distinctive lighting pieces. Expanding beyond bespoke creations, the collection now includes objects celebrated for their singular character and artistic presence. Defined by lightness, fluid forms, and transparency, these luminous sculptures explore the delicate interplay between shadow and light, casting reflections, shimmering patterns, and subtle vibrations that evoke emotion, movement, and atmosphere.

Éric de Dormael is an unconventional artist whose creative journey has evolved far beyond traditional design paths. Trained at the Saint-Luc School and the Atelier Met de Penninghen, he explored numerous artistic disciplines before dedicating himself to the creation of luminaires that gradually became monumental light sculptures. Working across interior design and the luxury world, his pieces transcend functionality to exist as works of art, where brass, plaster, and bronze are shaped into refined architectural forms that poetically unite light and shadow.
