Northern Butterfly Wall Lamp
Butterfly is a small wall lamp that was designed in 1964 for Arnold Wiigs Fabrikker and later produced by Høvik Lys of Norway. Considered a Norwegian design treasure, Northern re-launched the Butterfly Lamp in 2008. The delicate structure of the lamp is created from steel.
Sven Dysthe initially trained as a cabinetmaker before leaving Norway for London where he received a degree in industrial design from the Royal College of Art. His work is internationally recognised and displayed at leading museums including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the National Museum in Stockholm and the National Museum in Oslo.
