Santa & Cole Moragas Table Lamp

Designed for use in his office, Antonia de Moragas, conceived the Moragas lamp in 1957. A large wooden cylinder is combined with a white cotton ribbon shade to emit a strong, well distributed light. Said to have sat on Moragas desk at the FAD Industrial Design Association, he utilised the shade by placing notes and pictures through the folds in the ribbon.

Antoni de Moragas was one of the major promoters of the renovation that Spanish architecture underwent in the postwar years. He created pioneer objects of modernity, pieces that are considered nowadays classics of design.
